Philadelphia Implant Dentures

Dentures and Dental Implants

Happy Senior CoupleDid you know that your dentures could be anchored by dental implants? Traditional dentures just sit on the gums, but if you want, you can have dental implants installed that will firmly anchor your dentures in your jawbone. These dental implants will keep your denture secure, allowing you to eat and talk with confidence and stimulating your jaw bone to prevent jawbone loss.

Tired of slipping dentures and want a secure option? Please call 610-272-0828 or email Dental Excellence of Blue Bell in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to schedule an appointment with Dr. Ken Siegel to talk about your options.

What Are Implants Dentures

Dental implants are metal replacement tooth roots that are placed directly into your bone. The titanium used in the dental implants is highly biocompatible, which means it is non-toxic and can be incorporated directly into your bone. Once your dental implants are placed, they are permanently affixed, and can remain in place permanently. If properly cared for, they may last you a lifetime.

You will have several dental implants (typically 4) placed to support your implant dentures. Your implant dentures will then just slip onto the implants and click into place. The implant dentures are removable, but they are affixed securely enough that they won’t slip out when you talk or eat.

Benefits of Implant Dentures

Implant dentures have many advantages over

  • Improved fit
  • Improved function
  • Very secure
  • Less denture pain
  • Stimulate jawbone retention

These implant dentures are a good cost-effective compromise for people who want something more secure than traditional dentures but don’t want to invest in a full-mouth restoration with dental implants, or don’t have enough jawbone everywhere to support dental implants.

Implant Dentures or Neuromuscular Dentures?

Many of the benefits of implant dentures are also offered by neuromuscular dentures like our Denture Fountain of Youth®. Which one is right for you depends on many factors.

FOY Denture® may be right for you if you don’t have good jawbone to support dental implants or periodontal conditions make implant dentures unadvisable.

Implant Dentures may be right for you if your jawbone is a better support structure than your jaw muscles.

During your consultation with Dr. Siegel, you can discuss your options and figure out which one is right for you.
